Our guests today are Indranil Sengupta and Rabia Tewari, the husband-wife duo synonymous with the Mahim Clean-up Initiative. When they first moved to their sea-facing apartment in Mumbai & saw heaps of garbage on the Mahim beach they took the first step. Armed with gloves, they began cleaning the stretch from Mahim Reti Bunder to Hinduja Hospital every weekend diligently between 8 and 10 a.m. Slowly but surely they inspired the city to step in to make it a citizen initiative & won a U N recognition. They share their inspiring journey & prove why each one of us counts in civic movements!
